New Year...New Memories

Happy New Year! Wow it has been a crazy year.  I was not sure if the house in VA would sale in time to get a house in OH in time for the new school year to begin.  I finally came together but lordy, I did not expect the Ohio house to be so much work.  We ended up finding that the house had fleas! When we pulled the carpets the fleas came out.  It took 4 months of treatments to get rid of all the fleas.  Now my poor ankles are all scared from the bites.  At least Harry is happier now that he is not being attacked.

We also had sinked a lot of manpower to clean out the house and just fix up the place.  The kitchen and floors were delayed because of the COVID-19 slowing the factories.  However after waiting since September, on 12/29 they were finally done with the kitchen.  Now I just need the rest of the flooring to be done.  We are waiting for the rest of the stair tread materials to come in.

The next step will be painting and fixing the walls.

Wakefield High School Arts and Crafts Show

My sister is the faculty advisor for the class of 2023.  The school holds an annual arts and craft show to raise money for each of the classes.  I helped by making ornaments for them to sell.

2019 Christmas Tree Project

Last December I made my first advent tree.  It was done by a pattern that I found on Pinterest.  Of course I did not have a fancy cutting machine so I had to hand cut it all.  It turned out pretty nice after all.

Tea Bag Cards

I had mixed a few types of card ideas to come up with this new card design that I call the tea bag card.  There is a holder where you can insert a tea bag to the greeting card.

Holiday Project

This year I wanted to try a different take on advent calendars.  I made two types of calendars for my co-workers. I think they turned out pretty good.

Masks Everywhere...

When COVID-19 hit the USA hard, finding masks were hard.  I had dig through my supplies to make my own masks since supplies to make them were nowhere to be found.  I had a friend who contracted me to make masks for her company so that was a surprise project during the stress of getting the house ready for the market.

Saying Goodbye to VA

This spring in the beginning of COVID-19 we placed our house on the market.  It took 3 months on the market and some updating to the house but we were able to sale it.  Saying goodbye was tough.
